General Forum Rules
*** If you have any Questions about any of these Rules, See Rule 23 ***1. Liability
As stated in the registration Page the Administrator, Moderators, Webmaster, the forums owner or any of the subsidiaries, of this web site are not liable for any post made by people in this forum, for what ever reason. The Purpose of this forum is for people to express their opinions about the topics in this forum. Please keep mind these are opinions; everyone has a right to their opinion no matter how you, I or anyone else feels about the subject.
If you feel you cannot deal with criticism from other people, then you don’t believe in your position/Opinion (on the topic in question) strongly enough or you take yourself way too seriously either way relax or get over it.
The reason for this is plain and simple we do NOT want to hear about how someone’s post, hurt your “feelings”, “beat up your inner child” or any of those other BS excuses. This forum is about discussing and exchanging ideas, feelings and “Ranting” about what gets you fired up, hacked off, or downright “pissed”. So if something on this site makes you upset then write about it or reply to the message. That is the reason this forum was created.
a. As a Member of the Rant4ALL.com forum you remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the owners of this forum, any related websites to this forum, its staff, and its subsidiaries, with respect to any claim based upon transmission of your message(s). We reserve the right to reveal your identity, IP Address (or whatever information we know about you) in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any message posted by you.

There are too many legal issues with Minors that is why this rule is in place, we don’t need or want the hassle from the ramifications of having minors post or transmit information on our site.
3. User names
Do not duplicate anybody's nickname, signatures and try not to duplicate avatars. Make or find your own. You may not take the name of someone outside the community, such as names or nicknames of game developers, moderators of other communities, and so on. It is strictly prohibited to impersonate someone else.
4. Inappropriate language
Please try to refrain from using excessive profanity in your posts. Please, let the censor do what it is intended to do and don’t try to undermine it.
5. Illegal material/ Actions
Do not post links to sites that contain illegal material or discuss where or how to obtain illegal material (i.e. where to get illegal (pirated) warez, cracks, MP3’s or Movies etc.). Do not post magazine, book scans or any other copyrighted material as your own give credit to the people that wrote it. Do not make threats to other people in your Posts. This may include but are not limited to threatening someone’s life, to do bodily harm, or destroying/stealing their property, etc… This is prohibited and will result in being permanently banned.
Discussions about how to perform activities that are illegal in the US are also prohibited.
Posts that are threatening to other People will be subject to scrutiny and if deemed necessary, Will be reported to the Law enforcement agency that has jurisdiction, whether it is federal, state or Local Law enforcement.
6. Obscene/Violent material
You may not post obscene material. This includes text, links and/or images that are violent, disturbing, or pornographic.
7. Flaming
Please keep insults (or "flames") in the context of the current post/forum also known as “on Topic” and do not be excessive only flame people as needed. Don’t insult Members about previous posts they have made. (Flaming includes calling people names, insulting them, or saying offensive things to them.) Do Not Flame someone excessively; in most cases it is not necessary. Do not be abusive, or threatening with your “flames”.
Note: Under NO Certain terms will insults that are threatening pertaining to Race, Religion, or Creed be tolerated.
This forum IS for everyone… Insults about the band Creed are acceptable.
If you have any Questions about this, Please refer to section #5 and know the consequences of your actions!!!
8. Post counts
Do not post threads about how many posts, post status, or rank that you or a fellow member has. This will result in your own post count being dropped to zero.
9. General posting habits
a. Threads and posts must be placed in their appropriate forums: check out the forum description before posting your message and make sure they are “on Topic”.
b. Before posting a new topic, do a search of the forum to see if there is already a recent topic or thread on the subject. If there is already a thread similar to what you’d like to post, feel free to read it and post a reply in the existing thread.
Note: that sometimes the search function is disabled, so do your best without it.
c. Be specific when you name topics. This will help in topic searches and aid in preventing someone from posting something that has already been posted.
d. Try to stay on topic. Discussion is a good thing and is encouraged, but if what you have to say deviates a lot from the topic, do not post it in that thread. Consider starting your own thread instead. This is a matter of respect to the thread starter.
10. Spamming/Chatting
Spamming is strictly prohibited. Your post needs to contribute to the discussion or the topic.
[Spam Details]
Do not post messages that do not pertain to the topic. This is spamming and is not allowed. Your posts should contribute to the thread.
You should not be able to look up at your screen and see that the majority of topics or messages on a page were just created or posted by you.
Chatting is speaking in a light, familiar way and includes informal talk or one sentence posts like “yeah I agree.” Chatting is considered spamming and will be dealt with accordingly in the Rant4all boards. However, it will be tolerated to in the Speak-Easy Pub. Please remember that Off-Topic forums (such as Speak-Easy) are for off-topic discussion, not “no-topic” discussion. The staff will lock blatantly spam type threads at their discretion.
Note concerning "chatting": posts made in chatting/”chatspeak” will not be tolerated on the boards. This is a forum, not IM and even less a cell phone so please make an effort to use proper English. We are quite aware that everyone can make grammar and spelling mistakes and nobody is going to pick on you for that. SMS/Chatting however is a deliberate choice and not a lack of knowledge or a mistake. Members who post in chatting/chatspeak will be warned and if they do not remedy the situation, they may see their posts edited/deleted at moderators' discretion.
[/End of Spam Details]
11. Bumping
Please do not make posts or double post, simply to move the topic back up to the top of the forum. This is called ‘bumping’ and is not allowed. If people have something to post on that topic, they will. Be patient when waiting for replies and don't worry if you don't get a response right away. People will see your Post and eventually reply to it. Someone some where has to either agree or disagree with you or what you have to say.
12. Editing/deleting moderator warnings
If a moderator edits one of your posts, do not erase or re-edit that post unless you have the permission of the moderator. If you disagree with a warning or disciplinary measure, do not ask or bring it up in the thread. Contact either a moderator or the administrator to discuss the issue and express your concerns.
13. Thread/post deletion
The thread deletion feature has been turned off due mainly to the fact that it allows everyone to delete other people's posts made in the deleted thread. You can ask a moderator to close your thread. Moderators may or may not approve the closure request and is at their discretion.
While you can delete your own posts, do not delete them if a moderator or admin has edited your post for a disciplinary reason. This will result in more disciplinary actions and Moderators “will" notice deleted/edited posts.
14. Multiple accounts
Multiple accounts are not allowed. Accounts are controlled by a combination of Username and email address. You must also use a valid email address when registering. The reason multiple accounts are not allowed is because they can be used for Spamming, chatting, as well as many other rule violations.
15. Moderator applications
You can put in a request to be a moderator by asking a current moderators or administrator. We will let you know. Don’t hound current Moderators about being a moderator, once is enough.
16. Re-registration after a ban
You may not re-register after receiving a ban. If you re-register after you are temporarily banned, you will be banned permanently. If you keep re-registering, you will be IP banned.
17. Signatures
In the interest of saving bandwidth for your fellow posters please follow these rules.

21. Spoilers
• All threads containing major spoilers for anything Movies, Books or even Video Games must be identified by typing the word SPOILERS (bold & capitalized) in the title of the thread. This will let People who haven't seen the movie or read the book know they might see something they don’t want to, so the story or movie isn’t spoiled for them. Do not post spoilers in thread titles.
• Posts containing spoilers must use spoiler tags, so that the text containing the spoiler is blanked out. The code for the spoiler tags is:["spoiler"]This is where the Spoiler Text Goes[/spoiler]( remove the Quotes on the first Spoiler)
BBC:
This is where the Spoiler Text Goes
Now, you have no excuse not to use those tags.
